Deep thoughts

When one door of happiness closes, another opens, but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that has been opened for us.

Painting

Well, once again it has been a while. I really have nothing new to report. It was my birthday yesterday...I'm only 21 if anyone asks...and I had to work. It's really my own fault. I didn't request it off and I always work on Mondays.

All is well at my house.

Jeremy is growing up so fast. He is such a funny kid. Friday I walked into the living room to find him standing by my couch with a jar of purple paint and a paint brush. Not a small paint brush, but one of those big toddler paint brushes you use on big poster paper. Well, the damage report goes as follows: Arm of couch; Wall; Dresser; File cabinet; Fire place; Entertainment center; TV; Himself; Floor. It was "fun" to clean up, and he was so proud. Then on Sunday I was working, and as Case was getting ready for church, he did it again. This time with brown paint and not on so much stuff. Needless to say, the paint is now put away even higher than it was, and the brush is no more.

Zachary is doing awesome in 1st grade. (I know, I can't believe it either) He loves school, and has lots of friends. He wants me to buzz his hair and I'm not sure how I feel about it. I like his little man haircut, but if that's what he wants...I'll buzz it tonight I think.

Case is a workaholic. He is in charge of his clubs' Christmas tree lot again. He complains about it, but I secretly think he loves it. He takes Zac with him to help sell trees, and they both have a good time.

I am just working and being a mom. I love that I only have to work 2 days a week now. My job is mostly fun, and all is good with the world right now.

Shadow is getting to be such a good dog. She hasn't had an accident in a month or more...unless dad pets her...and loves to play with the boys.

Over all things are great here. I hope to keep this thing up better. Happy Thanksgiving all!

Cathy, I love your blog! I cannot believe how big Zac is. Holy cow. It looks like him, but doesn't, you know? Post more pictures! We're excited to see how things are with you guys. Do you still house missionaries in your basement? How is the Jorgensen family doing?
